  Center of Medical Genetics - University Hospital Antwerp (UZA)• Established a new research line in Europe concerning a rare subtype of lung cancer -involving the interdisciplinary collaboration of oncologists, pathologists and biomedical scientists-, through the implementation of gene engineering technologies in patient-derived cells followed by pharmacological assays in 3D models.• Optimized diagnostic sequencing techniques such as Sanger, RNA-seq, targeted DNA-seq, RT-qPCR, fragment and STR analysis coupled with variant interpretation in patient-derived tumor samples.• Coordinated the cell lab culture at the Centre for Medical Genetics through the writing and implementation of SOPs, leading the bi-weekly users meeting and ensuring its proper functioning.• Industry collaboration: partnered with Orbits Oncology(R) to optimize a pharmacological testing platform.• Mentored 1 master’s and 2 bachelor’s students, managing their projects and the allocated budgets.• Communicated my scientific output (4 peer-reviewed publications) in 5 international conferences and 1 webinar.
