One of… Show more Won the First Prize of the Negotiation Competition at Bristol University (endorsed by CMS Law Firm). The competition started out with 32 pairs and used a range of different cases such as: prenuptial agreements, handling the transfer of a sports team, conflicts between a construction company and the owner... This broad range of different topics and applications has allowed me to showcase my skills in argumentation as wall as adaptability to the different contexts and requirements. One of the key elements of this competition was also teamwork, a significant aspect of which is communication, something which my partner and I excelled at. We worked in tandem to best represent our client's interest and respected both each other but the other team as well. This was a determinative factor in our success as a team as it allowed us to effectively represent our client and ensure the best deal possible. As a result of my performance in first year, I have been invited by the University of Bristol Law Club to judge the first, second and third year competition in both my second and third year at the university. This has allowed me to observe a wide range of argumentation styles and has personally helped me identify what effective and appropriate arguments consist of. Show less

      Best Delegate In Security Council Model United Nations - Jul 2018 While Model United Nations is not a competition per say it is recognised that the delegation that can construct a clause (a proposed solution to the issue discuss within the committee) that collects enough signatures to be discussed from other delegations and displays a range of valuable skills can be elected as best delegate. While representing Britain in the Security Council I submitted the first clause to be discussed and put it up for potential amendments. As this clause was the only… Show more While Model United Nations is not a competition per say it is recognised that the delegation that can construct a clause (a proposed solution to the issue discuss within the committee) that collects enough signatures to be discussed from other delegations and displays a range of valuable skills can be elected as best delegate. While representing Britain in the Security Council I submitted the first clause to be discussed and put it up for potential amendments. As this clause was the only one in the committee to gather enough signatures to be discussed and our supervisor felt it was logical representative and representative of my delegation I was voted best delegate.
