  To formalize what I was doing earlier as a freelancer or employee I incorporated Knight Consulting in 2006. It started as a corporate training and coaching institute and rapidly evolved to a full-fledged consultancy and project office for European companies (mainly Belgian, Dutch and French) who wanted to set up shop in India, providing them with a one-stop solution to all their needs including project management, matchmaking, infrastructure, recruitment, training and finances. My function changed from incorporation and establishment to hiring staff for development, admin and HR, and coaching the middle management team. As Shadow CFO I became controller of the financials and made sure the company became and remained compliant to Indian Law and fulfilled all its legal obligations. My main realisations: • shortest incorporation ever: 14 days including bank and finalisation of office space • expanding to 45 developers,more agile than their Belgian counterparts • collaboration at board level for the M&A with Ardian, Sofindev, Gantner and Syx.
