  The Baja SAE project consists in competitions that simulate real world engineering design projects and its challenges. The engineering students have the task to design and build an off-road vehicle prototype, an experience that provides them with a challenging project that involves the design, planning and manufacturing tasks encountered in introducing a new product into the industrial consumer market. Students should work as a team to not only design, build, test, promote and drive a vehicle within the boundaries of the rules, but also to generate financial support for their project and manage their educational priorities.
