  • Responsible globally for Dosing Devices (£7.6 million spend) within the Global Devices Category• Responsible for the creation and implementation of a tail spend strategy to increase simplicity in our tail region by reducing the number of suppliers • Leading a cross-functional project, working with Technical and Regulatory, on Dosing Devices standardisation. My role is to ensure that the aims of this project are aligned with the overall Procurement strategy to increase simplicity and reduce COGs within the Tail region for Global Devices• Created and implemented a new way of working that will improve the payment of invoices process in order to manage risk with one of our higher risk suppliers• Leading an initiative to reduce capital expenditure, working with Technical to implement a process that ensures that all our capital investments have gone through a full assessment to ensure value for money • Leading the development of a business case for a COGs initiative which involves moving to a different supplier, which will result in £200K savings• Supplier contract renewal and review activities across the Dosing Devices category. Show less • Assessment of new technologies such as modelling software and PAT technology. These technologies had the potential to increase efficiency during manufacture and quality during process development within the liquid creams and ointment dose form. This involved creating models for various factories across the network and carrying out validation exercises in the lab and pilot plant.• Successfully led a problem solving activity with an external supplier and Technical team to create a programme of laboratory experiments to resolve incompatibility issues experienced in the plant. This resulted in a different seal being introduced which eliminated the compatibility issues.• Organised and facilitated a technology transfer knowledge sharing event between our factory in the North East of England and a factory in Poland. This event enabled sharing of key learning and best practice it was also an opportunity to help grow the relationship between both factories. Show less • Process development for one of the leading products in GSK consumer healthcare, this work included experimental design, manufacture, physical testing, creating manufacturing records, writing reports and presenting my findings. I created and led a process change that led to a reduction of batch cycle time from 14 hours to 8 hours.• Led a mathematical modelling project, liaising with an external supplier, and provided technical support to a project investigating various continuous mixing technologies.
