      I studied Dual Award Health and Social Care at A-Level and focused my research on the role of a Substance Misuse Worker. This included research through empirical, recorded and obtained data.

      My experience at the nursery has given me a broad insight within the early years foundation and how important it is to watch a child flourish through their stages of childhood. I have cared for babies as young as six months of age and have also taught and interacted four year olds in this environment. I have also looked after children who have special educational needs.

      Community Volunteer

      I extensively learnt about the reasons of homelessness, social policies that surround social care organisations and learnt some first hand experiences of being a homeless individual. I also learnt in more detail about substance misuse, mental health conditions and other issues that can be associated with homelesness. My fundraising experience also flourished here, through public events and presentations about the project. I also took part in a skydive to raise money for the project.

      I am the key leader of a group of 20 reception (4-5 year old) children - I teach them the importance of phonics and also how to read and write, maths and basic hand writing skills. Strong knowledge of safeguarding regarding young children Helping children to flourish physically and mentally through sports leadership and providing helpful assistance with teaching certain sports they may never have tried before. I help to maintain or improve their wellbeing and self awareness by encouraging them to perform their sport to the best of their ability and through teaching them the importance of teamwork, equality and effective communication. Working with a wide range of children from the ages of 4-11 years, helping them to flourish with education.

      Assisting staff with organising events to raise awareness of social problems which are present in the Harrogate district such as loneliness and domestic violence. My duties also including helping to fundraise for the project and communicating with external agencies who also support the Hub. I was in charge of developing the Youth Programme at the Hub which will support teenagers in the community who need advice or just somebody to talk to.

      During my time in New Zealand, I worked as a part-time Nursery Teacher learning the cultural differences between the British and New Zealand Early Years frameworks. I set up and lead activities for children of all ages, from the age of 6 months up to the age of 6 years through their framework. I learnt Maori so that I was able to communicate to families who spoke it as their first language.

      Special Wellness Boxes (Voluntary)

      I created my own mini charity in the first lockdown where I made boxes full of different sensory items for both children and adults in Harrogate hospital and other residential homes in Harrogate who have learning disabilities. The boxes are created to help both soothe and stimulate individuals who have been greatly affected by the pandemic. Donations through Justgiving and from my own contribution was how I am able to make my boxes. I temporarily stopped due to my time in New Zealand, however I am now aiming on creating more of these.       Community Connector for Luv2MeetU Kirklees - a friendship and relationship agency for individuals with learning disabilities. I arranged social events every week to help people meet friends and maintain a social life. I was also the Project Development Worker for No Limits - a group for adults who only have been diagnosed with Autism or Aspergers Syndrome.

      I currently run both the Learning and Development and Early Careers Partner Roles. In my Learning and Development Associate role, I manage the apprenticeships being undertaken throughout the whole business which currently stands at over 110 people. I work with a wide range of external apprenticeship providers. I create L&D content for all areas of the business and support the daily functions of all things learning and development including running development workshops for employees across the business in various roles and seniority levels - such as Interview Skills and Business Communication Fundamentals. I also support in designing content and learning solutions for different roles within the business. Show less As an Early Careers Partner, I am successful at developing strong partnerships with schools, colleges and communities throughout the country to help them to make the first leap into their career. I manage the organisation and relationships that we have as a business with these schools and communities and organise the events with our teams of volunteers from the business across the country. I also offer CV writing workshops, interview technique sessions within schools and provided work experience opportunities and planned, developed and deliver these activities all across the country.
