      During my first three years of working for the ASA and British Swimming, I focused a lot of my time producing digital content for British Swimming. I was the driving force behind an overhaul in the promotion and coverage of domestic aquatics events in Great Britain, ensuring the use of event mini-sites, athlete video interviews, live blogs and comprehensive social media coverage became commonplace.       In May 2016, I was seconded to work for the LEN London 2016 European Aquatics Championships during the elite competitions for swimming, diving and synchronised swimming. I was responsible for managing all content on the official event website and social media platforms during the competition.

      In July and August 2016, I worked for Team GB in a voluntary role in Brazil. For 10 days before the Games, I was based at the Preparation Camp in Belo Horizonte, filming and editing video content as well as producing content for the Team GB social media accounts. Using Periscope, I also broadcast live interviews and training from a range of different sports including athletics, swimming, boxing, badminton, canoeing, fencing, weightlifting and judo. I flew from Belo Horizonte to Rio on the first day of the Games to join a five-man News Service team based in Rio. The News Service team produced a daily Team GB newsletter, distributed flash quotes and uploaded a range of news stories to the Team GB website, ensuring consistent coverage of British performances from all sports in Brazil.       Responsible for the management of digital solutions at Swim England, leading on projects and strategy, and accountable for KPIs on digital net revenue, website traffic, digital conversions and reduced organisational costs.While in post, I:- oversaw a 65% increase in monthly visitors to swimming.org in less than two years, averaging more than 425k per month in early 2020, before the closure of pools due to coronavirus.- delivered an organisation-wide digital strategy, focused on consolidating influence, driving revenue, and increasing and simplifying digital membership.- delivered three major digital projects; a £500k search and booking site for the Institute of Swimming, an £80k Learn to Swim mobile app, featuring augmented reality technology to bring certificates to life on a user’s device and refreshing the awards experience for a modern audience, and a £50k Poolfinder website, focused on SEO and accessibility, and pulling live timetable information through an open data API.
