Instituted domestic SEC reporting which included drafting the Company's first 10-K while maintaining requisite Canadian legal and Vancouver Stock Exchange reporting requirements.

During my tenure, revenue grew from $40 million to $125 million in annual sales while the group of affiliated companies grew from 3 to 18. Incorporated in the US, Australia and Singapore and traded in 15 different currencies. Implemented a robust multi-currency, multi-company accounting system with central management in the US supporting all of the companies worldwide. Managed worldwide currency holdings for interest optimization and risk management and developed transfer pricing management and documentation system. Responsible for the re-implementation of its manufacturing ERP system (Global Soft) to properly calculate the cost of their custom jobs. Developed and implemented processes enabling improved inventory management and job estimation, including understanding of all indirect manufacturing costs and their proper allocation. Was hired as first CFO to assist with the sale and was responsible for the due diligence and assistance in closing the deal. Worked on integration with Solvay which required 2 day monthly closes and other public company reporting requirements.

Completed the company’s first 401(k) audit and implemented reporting for the new board of directors.

  Developed a senior project course for accounting students to create financial projections for small companies. The project delivered to the client, a 5-year financial projection model in Excel with integrated financial assumptions that could be easily changed, to project the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows. Working with client companies and a student team, I lead the development of over 60 projection models in various industries. In the process of creating the projection model, this ‘learn by doing’ program assisted the client in improving their accounting processes, procedures, reporting and planning while teaching the students how to interact with the client.
