      I was a live-cross reporter from the seat of Mildura during RMIT's coverage of the 2018 Victorian State election (Victoria Votes 2018) broadcast live on Channel 31. The role included travel, organisation independence and quick thinking as I didn’t have a producer on location to assist me. Students from Monash, Deakin, Melbourne and Swinburne Universities also took part in the coverage.

      I was the reporter in Australia’s most marginal seat – Corangamite – during Junction Journalism’s 2019 election coverage. This role included travel, organisation, and required me to be fast on my feet; I had to do a second live cross on the fly as the coverage was extended. Junction Journalism "showcases the best of Australian university student journalism and allows universities to work together to produce impactful and creative reportage".       At the Geelong Advertiser I worked as a reporter, pitching and writing my own stories as well as shadowing photographers and journalists in the field. I ended the 2-week placement with upwards of 20 bylines, over ten thousand unique online visitors to my articles - including at least two new subscriptions to the paper.

      In my role as an intern in the Pacific Newsroom of the ABC in Melbourne, I shadowed experienced journalists producing radio shows such as Pacific Beat and Pacific Mornings, for 2 days a week over 3 weeks. I also sourced, researched and produced my own package for Pacific Beat, and was fortunate enough to lend my voice to a live segment on Pacific Mornings.
