I'm the instructor of record for IS312: Reading & Writing Data. The course explores how we tell stories and make arguments in the age of the internet and "big data." We explore both creative and scholarly works that experiment with the forms of expression that digital and online media make possible, and others that question the cultural, political, and social consequences of computational media and data. Students develop skills for writing about data and writing with data through a variety of media. Show less
