  I was a site manager and front desk clerk for Cassels Sports Complex for 2 years in high school. The common responsibilities were taking phone calls, checking customers in and out, organizing the schedule of the facility, managing the 8 volleyball courts in the facility and making sure the facility and bathrooms were clean. My biggest takeaways from this position were customer service skills, credit card machine operational skills, schedule management and organization.

  Service Assistant

  I worked as a service assistant for the summer at the Cooper's Hawk Winery. Responsibilities included running food, greeting guests, taking orders, cleaning the restaurant, setting and bussing tables. Overall, I learned a lot about the service industry, and how to treat guests with kindness and respect, as well as how to contribute to a team when you are not necessarily a captain or manager but rather a role player.

  Head Volleyball Coach - Clinic

  I ran a co-ed setting-focused volleyball clinic through Reston Hoops, a non-profit youth sports organization in my hometown. Sessions were twice a week, each an hour and a half long, one session for middle school athletes and the other for high school athletes. This experience was great to learn how to work with multiple age and skill ranges, as well as both genders simultaneously.

  Springfield College Center for Service and Leadership

  Intern - Springfield College Pride Pantry

  I completed my 90-hour Exercise Science curriculum internship at the Pride Pantry at Springfield College. Responsibilities included opening and closing the facility, checking customers out, operating the inventory system at the pantry, completing and preparing online orders, and stocking the shelves of the pantry. The site belongs to the Springfield College Center for Service and Leadership, and is available to all students, faculty and staff on campus for free.
