    • Texas A&M University

      2016 - 2018
      Master’s Degree Mechanical Engineering 3.22
    • SRM University

      2012 - 2016
      Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering 3.2
  • Experience

    • Precision Technology Inc.

      May 2017 - Aug 2017
      Mechanical Design Intern

      • Assisted a group of engineers in generating a mechanical design for a PCB using Solidworks. Depending on the customer requirements, designed the basic outline of a PCB board along with height restrictions, Keepouts for parts, and Keepouts for traces.• After receiving a tentative circuit design, developed a 3-D model of the PCB and made changes to the orientation of various components on the board, to comply with the mechanical restrictions.• Having received an approval from all other departments, generated a 3-D model of the finalized PCB. Mar 2019 - Mar 2023
      Design Engineer

      • Led the design of high pressure, Urea-Grade, Manual Valves and Control Valves using ASME Section VIII (Division 1) and ASME B16.34 for valve design, CONVAL for valve sizing, and API 598 and FCI 70.2 for hydrostatic leakage tests.• Planned and executed 4 Control Valve projects that involved raw material estimation and planning, valve actuator and accessories selection and procurement, valve internals design, and preparation of component manufacturing drawings with GD&T.• Planned a detailed schedule for the activities in a project, while coordinating with 5 departments, to generate staggered procurement and production schedules.• Developed a procedure to perform in-house steady state FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis for valves and process piping fittings, using Solidworks, saving 10% of a project’s cost in outsourcing.• Designed process piping instruments using ASME B31.3 and performed stress analysis via FEA (Finite Element Analysis) in Solidworks.• Implemented a new procedure for designing Valve Trims via CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) in Solidworks, reducing the previously required number of iterations by approximately a factor of 10.• Spearheaded the design of the mechanical structure of “AMMO LASER Leak Detection System” (a vacuum system for detecting leaks; system designed by UreaKnowHow), using the Sheet Metal and Weldments module in Solidworks.• Implemented a system for Enquiries that provided a concise datasheet and basic design to the customer, thereby increasing the conversion to orders by approximately 50%.• Created a comprehensive library of 3D models in Solidworks and 2D master drawings in AutoCAD for all the standard components and standard valve assemblies; hence reducing man-hours and increasing productivity by approximately 25%.• Prepared detailed P&ID layouts and manufacturing drawings, following GD&T guidelines, for valves and equipment assemblies.
