  I created an intranet site for the IT Operations Network group to help them manage department information. The intranet site was backed by a database which I created for the site. I also distributed Sniffer software upgrades to the data center hardware. I did UNIX scripting in PERL for IT Operations Storage Management group. I scanned company's wireless network for security issues.

  I was assigned to two projects in my time with Accenture Technology Solutions.I was first assigned as a member of the Best Buy For Business development team as a J2EE developer where I worked on multiple application customization projects to bestbuybusiness.com. I led the design and development for four out of the ten customization projects. I also became the user interface team lead working on cross browser compatibility, usability, and web standards adoption.In the second project I participated in, I was as a developer on the Accenture HR Services Portal initial build team. I led the design and development of five components of the portal application which included user facing features as well as back end integration. I also helped customize and test the user interface for deployment at three different customers. Show less

  In my role I provided architectural leadership and technical direction for the IT Supply Chain application development organizations. I also tested new technologies and determined how they best interface into 3M's corporate systems. I established solutions for technical problems found in tools and technologies and recommended changes in designs to optimize application stability and performance. I lead and coordinated technical activities and artifacts. I was also responsible for ensuring non-functional requirements, performance, scalability, and reliability got addressed in addition to the usual functional requirements. Lastly I gave directions to developers to help integrate applications and sets directions for implementation.I was assigned to multiple projects including: SOA Infrastructure Implementation, Abrasives Order Management System Redesign, US Export Filing Process Streamlining, and Enterprise Application Transition for J2EE Server Upgrade. Show less I was the Co-Chair for 3M's Disability Advisory Committee which is an employee resource group aimed at advising, educating, and supporting the 3M community in topics of disabilities, including: accessibility and accommodations, awareness and education, employee recruitment and retention. This was a volunteer position which I do in addition to my normal job as a technical architect.As one of the Co-Chairs of the organization I was responsible for leading meetings, strategic planning, budgeting, working with other group members to put on events, volunteer in the community, and representing the group outside of 3M.
