      In charge of design research and business model development for the After project during its spin-off as a stand-alone startup. After is a social venture focused on shifting people's relationship with End-of-life matters in the United States. During my time in this position I was able to do:- Workshop facilitation for business model development; facilitated workshops to define value proposition and service offering, channels, and revenue streams. - Primary research; lead customer discovery efforts by conducting interviews with potential customers to identify pain points and new insights that informed service development.- Assumption testing; identified and validated riskiest assumptions with a combination of my own research and the coordination of test with external on-demand insights platforms. - Secondary research; conducted market size, landscape analysis, and other research to support the service and product development and help the management team make informed decisions.- Opportunities Identification; Worked hand-in-hand with the entrepreneurs-in-residence to help them identify opportunities and develop their ideas further using different design thinking and service design tools.- Organizational development; Created a skills inventory visualization tool to help project/team configuration and career development. In charge of bridging the technology gap and supporting the lead facilitator in all workshop activities.• Creativity for COVID Mentor (Education DesignLab); Mentored a team of teenagers through a 7-week design thinking internship program. The team delivered a tested prototype of a creative competition for teens to break the stigma around mental health issues.• Summer of Design; Tech co-facilitator for 12 remote sessions with 45 participants. In charge of bridging the technology gap and supporting the lead facilitator in all workshop activities. • Mindfulness & Stress Management Session; Designed and facilitated a 1-hour mindfulness training session for a higher education organization (25 staff members).• Active Listening Workshop (DC design community); Designed and facilitated remote active listening workshops for the DC design community (60+ participants in multiple engagements). • Future scenarios workshops; Design and facilitate a series of asynchronous and remote workshops for a financial services cooperative (35 participants) using foresight, future thinking, and backcasting. These workshops resulted in the diagnosis of the current gaps, the identification of 2 ideal future scenarios, and 8+ solutions for further exploration. • Shared vision workshop; Co-facilitated a one and a half-day workshop for an education organization (40 participants) looking to create a more inclusive team culture. This workshop resulted in the creation of inspirational value statements and strategic roadmap to execute on those statements. • Future visioning workshop (UN Women); Part of the co-facilitators who supported 2 visioning workshops for the United Nations Women’s civil society division using activities for future scenario building, ideation, and prototyping.
