I am proud to say I recently became a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). This is the gold standard in economic development. Someone with their CEcD is proven to meet core competencies in our profession. I've heard it described as the CPA and MBA in the Economic Development field and after having gone through the process, I agree. Now I am working on becoming a Economic Development Finance Professional, EDFP, through National Development Council so that I have more tools to make deals happen! Show less
