      Feb 2015 - Dec 2021

I have defended my thesis the 25th of September 2020 with the following title: "High-Temperature Corrosion Behavior in Biomass- and Waste-Fired Boilers".Objectives: I was responsible for the investigation of grain boundary attacks occurring in stainless steels when exposed to a corrosive environment (continuous KCl deposition) at high temperatures (600 °C).I was part of the investigation regarding the role of chlorine on the corrosion experienced by stainless steels. I was responsible for performing the experiments and the SEM analyses.I was part of the investigation regarding different corrosion mitigation techniques tested in biomass- and waste-fired boilers. I was responsible for analyzing and assessing the samples after having been exposed in boilers.Tools and techniques utilized:- Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM)- Broad Ion Beam (BIB)- Focus Ion Beam (FIB)- 3D reconstruction- X rays diffractometer (XRD)- Ion chromatography- Lab furnaces with a controlled atmosphere Show less
