This involved evaluating patients and consulting with collateral informants to determine issues of imminent self-harm or harm to others.I also evaluated inmates that manifested sudden bizarre behavior or thoughts, insomnia, psychosomatic complaints, suicidal preoccupations, depression, anxiety, situational crises, and experienced long-term disciplinary segregation. I worked with correctional staff to implement the most appropriate disposition for each case, which included: developing behavioral plans, initiating suicide watch, making psychiatric referrals, and providing psychological follow-up care on an as-needed basis.
