  • Part of my job is to work in an on point role; greet customers, answer any quick queries they have or direct them to the right area of the store. It is also my responsibility to direct the Sales team of the day and make sure each customer is paired up with the best Specialist for the situation, in a timely manner.• I am also one of the Specialists who can run the Setup area of the store, this involves getting the customers up and running on their new devices, leading them in a hands on experience, and helping them to connect through iCloud or other wireless mediums.• As well as spending time on the shop floor, a small part of my role is to spend time upstairs on Operator. This involves answering any incoming calls, and assisting the customer with their in store repair queries, minor technical support, and Concierge management, getting them booked in for the correct appointments, at both the Genius Bar & Training areas.• Another part of my role as a Specialist involves being part of a Workshop team. This includes running and delivering weekly workshops to any customers that wish to sign up. I lead both the OS X and iOS based workshops, Getting Started & Going Futher, as well as some of our more specialised programs such as iPhoto, iMovie and iWork.• I am also part of the Contract team in store, my repsonsilibties include making sure I am up to date with the most recent Tariffs we offer, and helping to keep my collegues confident and knowledgable in these areas also. Knowing all the different data packages and each indivual network’s special features. I recently spent time in Core with some of our new starters, teaching them our various Network systems and the main requirements we have in order for a customer to take out a contract in store.   Project/Production Manager

  I oversee the whole process; starting with drawing up the Statement of Work for the Client to sign, before briefing the designers on the project. After checking off the designs and showing the Clients for final sign off, the next stage involves organising the hours for the HTML coders to complete their part, and finally sending it through to the developers. After the site is complete, I check over and fully test every aspect before the Population process begins. This involves liaising with the Clients to finalize the content to populate the site before launch.• As a production manager I need to monitor the production process and adjust any schedules as needed, this has to stay within the bounds of the timescale and deadlines that have already been set.• Supervising and motivating a team of workers, as well as reviewing worker performance.• Identifying training needs, across a range of roles.• As a project manager I am accountable for all project results which are under mysupervision.• Before the start of a project I need to complete project charter outlining scope,goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. This includes completing a work breakdown structure to estimate for each task, and when each task will be performed, and clearly communicate these expectations to the Clients and relevant team members.• I am there to act as a mediator between Clients and team members, and it is my responsibility to resolve any issues and solve any problems that may arise throughout the duration of the project life cycle.• As the project comes to completion, the closing tasks as the project and production manager involve completing final summary reports, job debriefing and providing feedback to the team members involved in the project, having tracked the success of their hours, milestones, and deadlines.
