I was mainly responsible for orienting them to the unit, and scheduling and transporting clients to medical appointments.   I work with people who are ready to heal from their unresolved trauma. My clients might be experiencing other co-occurring mental health symptoms and/or substance use related to the trauma as well. I use EMDR therapy to target and reprocess traumatic experiences so that the person can not only heal but thrive. I encourage people to draw strength from their religious/spiritual beliefs and practices during this process if they do have such a foundation. There are also many other resources we use for emotional regulation throughout this process. I consider it a huge honor to have someone allow me to walk with them on their journey and to be able to witness them flourish throughout the process. Show less
