This semester was completed as an Erasmus exchange where I along with two other Scottish students and two Spanish students completed a semester long project under the coordination of a Spanish professor at the university, Dr Sierra Velasco. The aim of the project was to fabricate a prototype robot capable of navigating the internal surfaces of pipes. In October 2016 the group presented in a mixture of English and Spanish the project proposal to a board of directors of the university in a competition called "TengoUnaIdea". The group was then selected to receive a 1500€ bursary towards the funding of the project. On top of this the group was partnered with ArcelorMittal, a local steel company, with whom the project was completed. Mostrar menos
