      This role was a office assistant to several staff which involved general office and administrative duties. this role was also highly customer focused as I was the first point of contact for all new and current Education students who had enquires about their course. Due to this I was required to quickly learn a large amount of information about the education department, how it operates, the options available to different degrees, the staff hierarchy and separate departments. This was to ensue that the correct information was being given to students and that the office ran smoothy with the higher level office staff only being required for extremely complicated enquires or problems.       As a well respected manager at this high-class beachfront bar and cocktail lounge I was responsible for a multitude of different aspects of the business. These include but are not limited to the following; interviewing, hiring and training new staff, overlooking bar operations, liaising with security officers, hotel managers and police officers, listening to and resolving customer complaints, checking and approving pays, general office duties (filing, safe count's, customer relations, daily duties), stock control and ordering, cash handling and general bar operations.As OH&S officer I was required to ensure that all new and current staff were aware of the proper WH&S procedures and policies. I was also required to liaise with hotel WH&S committee to ensure that the venue was up to correct WH&S standards. I developed selection policies for the hiring of new staff and was responsible for the training and development of new and current staff. I was well liked and respected by not only the bar, kitchen and hotel staff but also by all onsite management and more senior members of the much larger Laundy Hotels company. My ability to prioritise my work and efficiently multitask helped me to succeed greatly in this faced paced and highly demanding environment. Show less
