      Assistant General Manager

In one of the Company’s most profitable stores, I started out in an entry level position, maintaining the equipment and ensuring the store’s safety and cleanliness. In a little more than a year, I was promoted to Assistant Manager, after completing 2 months of mandatory training at the National Office. By working my way up in the same restaurant, I was able to learn how hard work and good relationships join together to ensure success. The highlight of my experiences there revolved around my primary job function; hiring and training new employees. I still love seeing people succeed to higher roles through applying the training they’ve received, and first developed that passion and those skills at this high volume, profitable restaurant. • Calvary Bible Institute

      Apr 1988 - Feb 1996
      Missionary/Dean of Students

For each of the many “hats” I’ve worn during my pastoral career, the highlight has always been working with people, whether in groups or as individuals, to prepare them for their “next step”. As a young missionary, I was the Dean of Students at a small Bible school in Durban, South Africa. There I worked with our 70+ students in career guidance, placement, and their day to day issues. It was a pleasure to see so many graduate and go on to do great things in that very needy nation. To this day, I receive notes of thanks for the role I played in the lives of the students, which is quite gratifying. Show less

I was also involved with developing sales leads, training (personal and group settings) and many other aspects. I became a certified Microsoft Mobile Solutions Trainer in 2006, and deployed several Microsoft Exchange Server sites, incorporating them with Blackberries and PocketPC on the client side. I also worked with Help Desk duties while we held the contract for the local ISP- Ellijay Telephone Company. As owner of my own business, a small computer repair shop and consultancy, I learned the value of establishing and maintaining a good reputation among clients and the broader community alike. Through hard work and long hours, I was able to build up the business into the success it still is today. Because of my input and tutelage throughout the sales cycle, the owners I sold it to are still going strong, and serving the needs of small to mid-size businesses throughout North Georgia. Show less
