      Working in/ developing the on site workshop which maintains the operation of over 20 tractors, several industry leading herbicide and fungicide sprayers, Gregoir grape harvesters, undervine cultivators, mowers, mulchers, leaf pluckers, trimmers and other machinery involved in carrying out vineyard and viticultural operations. This involves:-Conducting machinery maintenance and servicing including problem solving and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. -Design and fabrication of equipment to increase efficiencies in various areas using various fabrication techniques and welding, (MIG, TIG, MMA) working with aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel. -Operating and supervising the operation of tools and equipment safely and responsibly in a well equipped workshop. -Keeping track of workshop inventories and tooling.-Responsible for the completion tasks in a timely manner and to create an environment for the smooth flow of work. -In constant discussion with plant and equipment manager making suggestions and recommendations to improve quality of repairs and performance of equipment. -Diagnosing problems in equipment then generating repair and service plans and able to interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams and specifications. -Communication with equipment operators to diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner.-Adhere to company policies and safety practises when conducting jobs. Since joining the company, the past 6 months have involved completely reforming the way the company carries out maintenance and servicing of equipment resulting in significant savings and cost reduction after the rebuilding and equipping of the onsite workshop to carry out all maintenance and servicing in-house rather than out-sourcing to local engineering and service companies.
