  I have over 30 years experience in hairdressing, I have worked in the industry, managed a salon, been a salon owner and been involved in education for over 16 years. It was on this journey that I have been introduced to ethical and sustainable working practices in hairdressing. The hairdressing standards in this country are now starting to raise awareness to our young hairdressers today in sustainable working practices BUT still many salons, hairdressers and educators are still not using these. I have been cutting, colouring and chemically changing ladies and men’s hair for years and this sparked a level of interest in me to find out how I could make changes to my working practices.
