  Teaching Staff

  Since 2019 I have taught dances to high school drill teams across the state of Texas. In addition to original choreography, I have been responsible for guiding participants through a uniquely designed leadership curriculum. I have worked with teams ranging from less than 10 to over 80 members and maintained an effective teaching environment in all locations and situations. As a senior member of staff, I have mentored and supervised less experienced staff in 1-to-1 relationships. During the contest season, I have worked events with over 30 clients present resulting in over 500 unique routines performed through the span of a weekend. At these events I have served as an emcee, managed scoring and tabulation, and connected with clients from across, and beyond, the state of Texas. Show less

  Alpha Phi International Fraternity

  As the director of Texas Alpha Phi's largest fundraising event of the year, I created relationships with over a dozen local vendors to support the event through donations and strategic partnerships. Such vendors included Tiff's Treats, Kendra Scott, and Form to Feeling jewelers. As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I was responsible for transforming the prior event structure into a digital format for the safety of all involved. Ultimately, the event raised over $19,000 in support of women's heart health with funds benefiting the Alpha Phi Foundation and the Association of Black Cardiologists. Show less

  As the head intern, I managed a team of five individuals from three different countries in order to improve the marketing strategies of our client. All progress was communicated in weekly client meetings that I scheduled and led. Ultimately, my team and I integrated a cohesive social media marketing strategy to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for the client resulting in a 79% increase in content interaction.

  In this role, I assisted guests with purchases for themselves and their loved ones. Through compassionate communication, I secured events and collaborations for our store. In peak times, I was an integral part of hitting sales metrics including an 85% conversion rate, sales per transaction of over $100, overall sales numbers, and traffic goals. I took personal responsibility for selling the fine jewelry collection which contains pieces that retail for up to $4,500. I consistently achieved my personal sales goal of between $1,000 and $2,500 during holiday seasons including the winter, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day. Show less

  In collaboration with a team of 3 other interns I read and critiqued submissions to the literary journal. Additionally, I interviewed 2 selected authors featured in the Spring 2022 edition of the publication.   Event Production & Logistics Intern

  Under the supervision of the Event Production & Logistics Manager, I assisted in communicating with over two dozen volunteer chairs and the hundreds of individual volunteers involved in the production of Austin's premiere literary event. I created copy to recruit volunteers, designed digital and physical assets to improve event visuals, and wrote content for the TBF blog. On event weekend, I assisted in managing our large volunteer team, close to 300 visiting authors, and guiding over 40,000 event attendees. Show less
