      As Head of Compliance and Human Resources, I am responsible for ensuring regulatory excellence and driving strategic HR initiatives. My role encompasses embedding a culture of compliance and accountability, overseeing regulatory adherence across Consumer Duty, SMCR, and GDPR, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance and Regulatory Leadership• Accountable under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) for governance, controls, and personal accountability.• Develop and oversee compliance frameworks for Consumer Duty, ensuring customer outcomes align with fairness and transparency.• Ensure adherence to Consumer Credit regulations, including financial promotions, affordability assessments, and CONC rules.• Lead UK GDPR compliance, safeguarding data privacy through policies, training, and regulatory reporting to the ICO.• Monitor regulatory developments, manage risk, and provide actionable insights to the Board.• Liaise with the FCA and ICO, ensuring timely submissions of returns and compliance with reporting obligations.• Oversee the Customer Resolution policy, ensuring fair and efficient complaint handling.Human Resources Leadership• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, partnering with senior leadership to drive growth and efficiency.• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws, including the LRA, BCEA, and EEA, and oversee health and safety compliance under OHSA.• Lead recruitment, talent management, and retention strategies, including succession planning and career development.• Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and ensure compliance with employment equity reporting.• Oversee employee engagement, performance management, and disciplinary processes in alignment with company policies.• Manage payroll, compensation, and benefits to ensure market competitiveness and statutory compliance.
