New dustbins will distribute to every resident as the robot arm will only collect the specific dustbin after considering the color and height detected by sensors… Show more The Development of a Robot Arm using IoT is the invention of automatic garbage collectors using IoT technology can reduce manpower and be more efficient than conventional methods. Here, the robot arm is used to lift the garbage bin so that all the waste goes directly into the garbage truck equipped with a garbage grinder. New dustbins will distribute to every resident as the robot arm will only collect the specific dustbin after considering the color and height detected by sensors attached to the truck. The truck also comes with a grinder run by a DC motor that allows the truck to carry much more garbage on a single route. The driver can monitor and adjust the angle setting of the robot arm to remain in a proper and safe stance using a mobile application. Besides, the driver can operate solely to switch on and off the system to prevent any error. This paper is built using a Microcontroller-based platform, Arduino Mega 2560 board, which is interfaced with Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) wireless module, ultrasonic sensor, color sensor, servo motors, DC motor, and buzzer.
