Bachelor’s project: Shear Wave Elastography Assessment of Carotid Plaque StiffnessI designed, synthesised and tested a carotid arterial phantom complete with various plaque stiffnesses to evaluate ultrasound shear wave elastography (Aixplorer with a L15-4 probe from Supersonic Imagine). This led onto successful collaboration where I analysed sensitive patient data from University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust to examine the carotid artery bifurcation in stroke patients.
