    • HDR

      Sept 2013 - now

HDR’s Rail operations team consists of developing operational requirements for clients; developing an operating plan; developing main track infrastructure configuration and geometry requirements; and constructing a new Rail Traffic Controller (RTC) model.Alternative scenarios that incrementally improve service on the respective corridors are coded and analyzed based on combinations of train technology/performance and stopping/service patterns. Scenarios considered speeds and infrastructure conditions that provide for low, medium, and high operating speed scenarios. Resulting data is used to identify locations of specific operational constraints and the extent of improvements necessary to meet the desired service goals. Equally important, the TPC output is key component of the initial inputs to support the first set of ridership forecasts. Show less
