  Filiere du Vin Program (www.winemoldova.md) was created by the Government of Republic of Moldova and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to address the structural weaknesses of the Moldovan wine industry. According to the Financing Contract signed on November 23, 2010, EIB granted Moldova a loan of 75 million EUR, to contribute to country's wine industry, redressing and promoting the wine with Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O) and Protected Geographical Indication (P.G.I) and developing the acces of Moldovan wines to external markets.Program Objectives:- Restructuring the wine sector of RM (winemaking companies, chateaus, grape growers, etc) and related industries (producers of packages, labels, corks, etc.);- Improve quality and wine consistency produced in Moldova starting from vineyards and grapes quality untill final packaging and product delivery;- Diversication of country’s markets by ensuring the authenticity of produced wines.Program's Financial instruments:- Credit Line Component: loans provided through Participant Financial Institutions (PFIs);- Leasing Component: for wine/ vine equipment and machineries;- Laboratories, education, training and development of food security component: Governmental financing of education and research institutions with wine and vine profile, in order to raise the capacity, quality and relevance of training, education and research institutions related to viticulture and wine sectors.
