  Michael Durkee is the Executive Director of Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, a 14 year nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting disabled veterans with their financial and critical dental needs. Michael brings more than a decade of military experience, including combat, to his current role. His passion for providing immediate & temporary emergency financial assistance, paves the way for our veterans to succeed in life after serving in our military. Under Michael's direction, the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund has provided critical support to veterans facing financial hardship. The program works tirelessly to provide essential relief for our struggling veterans. Due to Michael's outstanding leadership, the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund has been recognized as one of its most effective and efficient programs. Under his direction, the program has expanded throughout the state of Florida. In 2024, WVRF was able to provide direct assistance in the amount of $1,788,606 million. This record in distributions was due to an increase in veterans needing support. Michael and his team created the successful one-of-a-kind dental program in 2020. Show less
