To lead a project in Ulaan Baatar, a post-socialist city, is to work in an in in-between two systems . The project sought to support the urban transition of an old botanical park and an ex-collectivized production system. Built around a centuries-old garden city, Amgalam neighborhood is an emerging urban form built upon a socialo-functionnalist urban grid. It is now a network of agricultural enclosures with a high density of inhabitants and uses. -> Based on an intensive fieldwork and mapping process the urban strategy takes up from the floodplain scale and aims at maintaining ecosystem-related local uses -private and commons -, while the architectural designs grasp local empowerment, using spatial grafting on a "unplugged" manufacturing-unit to provide the local communion with a school extension, a water facility and public spaces close to the park.       Involved in an interdisciplinary research workshop on shrinking cities within a research project funded by the European "3S RECIPE ERA-NET Cofund Smart Urban Futures" programme. -> Collective and interdisciplinary survey conducted in Le Havre (Fr.) in March 2018 on the dynamics of urban shrinkage and the public policies aiming at urban redevelopment and metropolitan development, conducted by the CODAH (the regional development board) , AURH (The Havre's public urban practice) and ANRU (the national programme for urban renewal) with a focus on spatial, land property, demographic and use patterns (statistical data analysis, mapping, semi-directive interview etc.) -> Workshops on urban shrinkage, tackled at its global, regional and local scale, in quantitative and qualitative terms, and around five core themes: metropolitanization, sprawl, shifts in the (urban) production systems, land development and demographic transformations.
