I volunteered working as a shop assistant which introduced me to core customer service skills. Tasks included working on the till, managing new incoming stock and keeping the shop floor tidy. Whilst working on the till many difficult situations raised which got dealt with in a professional matter.

      Jan 2014 - Sept 2019
      Shift Supervisor

When I arrived at Dominos Pizza I was responsible for taking customers orders for a month, alongside with a new receptionist. As the first week went by, my manager observed me, comparing me to a colleague and recognised that I had the potential by looking at passion and engagement in the job. So they decided to train me onto other sections of the shop. After a year of progress, I was also put in charge of customer complaints via telephones and email, counting and ordering stock, in charge of creating scheduled rota for staff, delegating tasks for each individuals, cashing up end of day tills and banking. My contributions within this job role meant that staff became motivated to complete their tasks on time and the shop became more organised. Though, studying final year at university became stressful so I dropped my hours and position so there were less responsibilities in order to focus on my studies. Overall, it has helped me find what I am capable of in just a short amount of time. Show less

      Customer Service (Clothing)

During my Christmas break after first year of university. I obtained the job as customer assistant at Marks and Spencer, as well as still working at Dominos Pizza. I worked in the clothing department for 3 weeks, learning new sales techniques, supervising changing rooms and keeping the shop floor clean and tidy. This enabled me to further my customer service skills as I was able to keep customers happy, reccomend clothing for Christmas presents and multi-task alone as some days included very busy periods with very little staff. My main responsibilities included running the tills, stock replenishment and supervise changing rooms.worked in a large food hall with 40+ other staff with many responsibilities. I was always extremely driven to fulfil all my jobs to my best abilities. This therefore enabled me to gain regular recognition from managers and customers for my consistent welcoming and friendly manor and my ability to get on and engage with everyone. My main responsibilities included customer service, running the cash register and stock replenishment. Customer Service (Food)

During my Christmas break in second year at university I got in contact with my previous manager, who offered me the job without re-training as they recognised my skills and passion. Again working a second job, as still remaining at Dominos pizza. Though, this time I asked to change departments as I was keen to learn new skills so I was transferred to the food department which was much busier, especially through Christmas period. My role included welcoming customers, assist them with any enquiries, replenish stock and using the tills. As Eastbourne is well known for being the town full of elderly people, a lot of extra assistance was needed so many of the times I went the extra mile to help customers. This wouldn't of been done without my previous experience with volunteer work, where there were similar situations arrived. Show less

    • K2 Indian Restuarant

      Aug 2018 - Sept 2018
      Bartender

I volunteered to help a family friend. This role came naturally with very little training was needed due to previous skills learnt with serving customers, taking phones calls/orders and booking tables. Even though originally it was to help a family friend out, many skills were learnt along with it such as how to serve alcoholic drinks, and serving food to tables as a waiter was introduced.
