  Barnsley College is a large, General Further Education and Tertiary College serving Barnsley Metropolitan Borough and the surrounding areas in South Yorkshire. Judged outstanding by Ofsted the report emphasised the outstanding leadership and learning within Barnsley College.During my time at Barnsley College I worked as part of the Learning Technologies Department, helping to provide and support learning technologies for staff and students. The Ofsted report from 2010 talked about the good use of information learning technology and its availability, but cites that teachers sometimes lack the skill to use it effectively. My roll during my time at Barnsley College was to rectify this issue, which did this through training members of staff and spending time developing the available learning technologies, including Moodle and SharePoint 2012.   SoftSight is a new company that benefits from being run from young innovative, enthusiastic students. SoftSight is currently working on several projects in accusation with Barnsley College.On SoftSights most recent project feedback has been gathered on a new system based on SharePoint 2015 and created by Collabco (Microsoft Partner). Up and coming projects include training staff on how to use the system created by Collabco and also training staff in how to use Microsoft Lync.
