  Performed the repairs and maintenance of the Inertial Navigation System consisting of a Inertial Measurement unit, Control and Display unit, Central Processing unit (Computer) and Power Distribution unit used in the Boeing 707 aircraft. Major duties were:• Maintenance of the Navigation System consisting of four main electronic units containing multi layered PC Board assemblies.• Maintenance and repair of test benches.• Maintenance is carried out to component level.• Training of new technicians on the system.January 1997: Appointed Second in Charge of the Instrument Section over and above my technician duties. The following principle accountabilities were added to my duties and in which I also gained managerial experience:• Control and management of the Instrument Section in the Absence of the Maintenance Manager.Compiling of a monthly production report.• Planning, budgeting and control of the yearly consumable.• Inventory controlI did fourth line servicing and repairs on various types of instruments and instrument systems.
