      Work Placement

      During this professional placement, I gained exposure to both the Liquor and Gaming regulation head offices in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. In doing so, I completed a report on a particular licensed venue, formulating recommendations around possible wrongdoing in accordance with relevant legislation. These placements developed my professional experience within the government sector and allowed for exposure and therefore understandings of underpinning policies and frameworks.

I have acted in a specialised, High Risk and Violent Male caseload (OMCG), in addition to daily supervision of domestic violence perpetrators, sex offenders and female offenders. Within this role I utilise my advanced risk identified and analysis skills and ensure the appropriate response to such risk is implemented, in consultation with management and the Parole Board. I also utilise sophisticated motivational interviewing skills to best facilitate meaningful behavioural change amongst clients.I am a formal mentor for staff within my role, given my extensive experience as a front-line practitioner.
