In response to new FCA regulations, I helped them design new user-flows and tools, to better inform credit card customers about how much they’re paying, and to set up bespoke payment plans.Key Results & ResponsibilitiesOur tools, in combination with improved in-app messaging and communications meant that 1000’s of long-term debt holders successfully created suitable payment plans in-app.• Took part in user-research sessions and helped identify key customer mental-models and behaviours that designs would need to address to succeed.• Planned and scripted the usability test sessions for all prototypes I created.• Planned and facilitated sketching sessions with key engineers and stakeholders to find feasible solutions sooner, aswell as create shared understanding which improved implementations.• Designed and prototyped a number of iOS and Android payment plan experiences in both Figma and HTML/CSS• Used the team’s design system to quickly and effectively produce designs that could be built with minimal custom work. With zero product design experience in the company, I helped them turn their industry knowledge into a multi-user Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) SaaS platform, aimed at Europe’s largest Ombudsmen and industry watchdogs. I helped their UK division successfully increase key customer behaviour metrics online, such as booking test-drives and contacting local dealerships, as part of their direct-to-consumer strategy.
