      ARISE (Agricultural & Rural Investments for Social Enterprises) Project is an especial initiative focusing on the development of Small & Medium Enterprises based on Primary Sector (Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries) in the North-Western Province of Sri Lanka. My role was to make the pathway for entrepreneurs to enhance their knowledge, skills and comprehension on market environment through coordinated project activities with my team and coordinate with project counterparts both local and international.Key Responsibilities:- Prepare the annual action plans to achieve the project outcomes- Provide strong leadership for team members to execute the plans & monitor the progress made continuously throughout the period- Liaisons with government officials and entities especially with regard to entrepreneurship development by creating sustaining working relationship- Maintaining the quality of the project to its highest level- Approve project expenditure and contracts according to the Levels of Authority Manual and proper management of annual budgetKey Achievements:- Made strong partnerships with Sri Lanka Export Development Board and Industrial Development Board to reinforce the service delivery for small & medium scale businesses in North Western Province- Facilitated provincial forums to make business environments more favourable for small-scale producers through improving the links in supply chain.- Trained 1,500+ small business owners on much neglected, vital aspect of their businesses such as financial management, market development, customer orientation, etc. - Initiated and coordinated six (6) Value Chain Analysis Studies on local agricultural produce with service providers.- Through the project, 100+ small scale entrepreneurs were supported with small to medium sized loans through project partner, Vision Fund Lanka Show less I was having the principal responsibility of providing the leadership for a small team of development professionals to achieve developmental goals of Negombo ADP, by applying an integrated approach to community development. This encompass the community participation, ownership and sustainability, while focus was on children and addressing the root causes of poverty. Key Responsibilities:- Achieve and maintain highest level of programme quality through creating & sustaining working relationship with internal stakeholders, donors, World Vision regional and World Vision partnership offices- Provide strong leadership for programme team, commitment and spirituality- Improve the capacity of programme staff members, in order to deliver quality service to partner communities- Prepare annual operational plans of ADP to achieve sustainable results- Approve project expenditure and contracts according to the Levels of Authority Manual and proper management of annual budgetKey Achievements:- Successfully planned and implemented programme sustainability & transition plan for Negombo ADP- Established a Language Laboratory at St. Sebastian Vidyalaya, Negombo as an strategic initiative with Zonal Education Office of Negombo- Designed, planned and organized the Programme Closure Event together with community members- Qualified as a ToT for PMD Pro curriculum; and completes level 1 and level 2 of PMD Pro- Conduct training programmes for other staff members at National Level on PMD Pro Show less I was with the responsibility of ensuring the program quality, through providing technical guidance and support in line with DME policy and framework (LEAP) across several Area Development Programmes (ADPs) as a Zonal Design, Monitoring & Evaluations coordinator. While based at National Office, I have supported Sevanagala, Thanamalwila, Lunugala, Meegahakiula, Padiyathalawa, Horowpothana, Kebithigollewa, Nawagattegama, and Ehetuwewa ADPs, guided ADP-DME staff and other field staff on DME standards to align with global frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure all programmes & projects are aligned with DME framework of World Vision (LEAP) and Child Well-being indicators and establish a proper DME system - Provide necessary guidance field staff, update the knowledge & build the capacity of DME Coordinators through coaching & mentoring processes - Visit programs periodically to support, build capacity, and provide closer supervision & strategic direction to field DME staff in programs and understand the needs and challenges related to their work - Facilitate reflections for to capture learning systematically, research for innovative programme solutions, action learning - Provide appropriate and timely feedback with necessary analysis on DME process and review key documents for greater clarityKey Achievements:- Spearheaded the data collection through Mobile Devices for efficient & effective project monitoring at National Level- Coordinate the deign / redesign processes of Lunugala, Meegahakiula, and Horowpothana ADPs until the completion and reviewed & finalized Programme Design Documents - Coordinate the evaluations of Sevanagala, Kebithigollewa, Nawagaththegama & Ehetuwewa ADPs- Strategic guidance for the completion of baseline surveys of Lunugala, Meegahakiula, Horowpothana, Nawagaththegama and Ehetuwewa ADPs- Successfully lead numerous staff capacity-building initiatives, including Report Writing and Reviewing Workshop Show less As an Information Management Systems (IMS) Coordinator, (subsequently termed as Design, Monitoring & Evaluations Coordinator) I was responsible for the maintenance and coordination of ‘Design, Monitoring & Evaluation’ standards aligned with DME Framework of World Vision (LEAP) in Projects and Programs at Sevanagala & Thanamalwila Area Development Programmes.
