  As a Quality Assurance Manager for Erickson Steel I was in charge of all quality incoming, processing and outgoing. I measured incoming rough material to ensure supplier requirements were achieved such a flash height, outer dimensions and inside dimensions of round, square, and rectangular ASTM A500 and A513 tube specifications. I measured lengths, angles, and chamfers of tubing as it was being processed. I did random sampling of outgoing material to ensure critical customer requirements were met. Show less As a Quality Specialist for Caterpillar I inspect parts to ensure they meet print dimensions using various measurement methods such as calipers, micrometers, dial bore gages and other manual measurement devices. I preform root cause analysis to determine if damage to parts is supplier caused, handling damage or assembly caused due to packaging or other nonconforming elements. I read and interpret complex machining and process prints to preform my job.
