      The mission statement of Engineers Nova Scotia is: Guided by the Engineering Profession Act, we license registrants who are qualified and competent, assisting them to fulfill their obligations to practice engineering in the best interests of the public.Our vision is:A safe and sustainable Nova Scotia protected by accessible, progressive, and trusted regulation of the engineering profession.Reporting to the elected Engineers Nova Scotia Council, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides executive leadership and management for the organization’s strategic plan, financial operations, and broader administration, and plays a vital role in ensuring the continued relevance and success of Engineers Nova Scotia as self-regulatory body for the practice of engineering in the province. The CEO provides operational continuity for the organization and works under the direction of Council to develop and administer policies, procedures, and programs that enhance the Association and allow for the fulfillment of its established long-term goals. By conducting effective sector research and staying informed of local, regional, and national emerging issues and trends affecting the engineering community through cooperation with Engineers Canada, the twelve provincial and territorial engineering regulators, and other stakeholders, the CEO also provides advice to Council on long-term strategy and decision-making.
