  Master's thesis: Characterization of embedding processes for metallic "pinned" fittings into CFRP".This study dealt with metal/CFRP new hybrid joints for Formula 1 suspension arms. Focus on fitting insertion process vs joint mechanical performances. - Fitting design- Materials selection (fitting and laminates)- Process and tests selection (fitting insertion, mechanical tests, microscope observation)- Project planning - Composite manufacturing (autoclave curing, vacuum infusion)- Data collection in-process and during tests.Results analysis and discussions allowed to provide recommendation about fitting insertion process and design. Results were used by Dr Lawrence Cook, Research Fellow at Cranfield Uni., in his work about hybrid joints. Show less
