    • UGN, Inc.

      Jun 2013 - Jul 2022

In charge but not limited of all the core LAN/WAN network devices for all of our 6 UGN facilities. My main tools are Microsoft Power BI and PowerShell. They have helped me implement some very interesting projects for the following departments: IT, IS, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Materials, Manufacturing and Operations.I have created more than a dozen of Microsoft Power BI reports that have helped people take better decisions. Using a very simple and intuitive interface to complete their jobs in a faster manner. The source data could be located in TXT/CSV/Excel files, SQL databases, Oracle databases or websites. In order to keep up with all of my tasks I automate everything that I can with PowerShell. I have been scripting in PowerShell for 6 years now. I've developed several internal modules, that have saved hundreds of hours in Windows 10 deployments, helped troubleshoot servers/end users/network problems faster, saved manufacturing thousands of hours setting up changeovers on the floor and also minimized mislabel problems with our clients, developed a LIVE production manufacturing system, developed a LIVE machine downtime for manufacturing, just to mention a few projects. The biggest challenge so far as a Network Engineer has been relocating all the IT infrastructure from an old small plant to a 5 times bigger newer plant. I was in charged of all the planning, design and implementation for all of the following: new Nutanix servers, migrating old servers, network redesign (mainly for the manufacturing network which is loaded with Rockell Allen-Bradley PLC equipment), wireless, voice, access control, audio and video, CCTV and paging system. The task was not easy since I had to design everything to fully meet the needs of a 5 times larger facility. I had to work with a lot of contractors, meet deadlines, coordinate priorities and meet a budget. The project was successfully implemented and I learned a lot of program management without even realizing it. Mostrar menos
