  Beyond most of the duties/responsibilities that I held when I was Senior Geotechnical Engineer, I accumulated the following adicional roles:1) Responsible to lead and oversee the project work of Design and Senior geotechnical engineers in my team. I am also responsible to provide assistance on complex technical issues.2) Providing assistance to the Geotechnical Technical Director to create new and/or improve current standard work processes to help to increase the team’s productivity and efficiency. This range from creating standard technical documentation to Python scripts to automatize repetitive actions. I also assist him in recruitment needs, by helping him selecting potential candidates3) Train and mentor junior members of the team, by organizing technical workshop sessions as a way to share knowledge and lessons learns in key geotechnical topics/live projectsE.g. of useful Python script tools that I created and became general tools for the team to use are:-Generating pile schedule with detailed results for each pile, from 3D FEM model results-Undertaking automatically the impact assessment on multiple existing tunnels/assets at several construction stages, from extracted results on 3D FEM model-An automatic tool to run several iterations of a reference 2D axisymmetric model replicating a pile load test with different soil parametersE.g. of Key projects worked as Associate Geotechnical Engineer :-Bankside Yards Development - West Side ( Stage 4/5): Main numerical modeller of a complex 3D FEM model. Also responsible for carry out the GMA/impact assessments ( Thames Water, Network Rail and BT tunnels) and the Geotechnical Design of the foundations ( including soil-structure interactions runs)-UCL Poolstreet (Stage 4):Main numerical modeller of a complex 3D FEM model. Also responsible for undertaking the GMA/impact assessments ( UKPN and National Grid) and the Geotechnical Design of the foundations ( including soil-structure interactions runs) Show less I joined AKT II in 2017 intending to help developing an in-house Geotechnical Team, to support structural/civil project teams across the company. Some of my main responsibilities as Senior Geotechnical Engineer were:1)Responsible to carry out advanced numerical modelling evolving 2D and 3D Geotechnical FEM analysis ( e.g PLAXIS 2D and 3D) and contouring programmes ( e.g XDisp)2) Advising Structural team on recommended ground models and soil parameters to use in their Half-space models (e.g. HASE)3) Undertake impact assessment studies on third-party assets (Network Rail, Thames Water, London Overground, London Underground) 4)Assist Geotechnical and Management directors in the resources planning and proposal fees for future projects5) Provide to the senior managing director monthly updates on the projects that I was leading and identifying any major technical/ management issues that could compromise current project progress6)Producing specifications for site-specific ground investigation and reviewing factual and interpretive reports coming from SI contractors E.g. of Key projects worked as Senior Engineer:-Bankside Yards Development - West Side ( Stage 2/3): Produce preliminary GMA and impact assessment reports for nearby utilities ( e.g Thames Water) and existing Network Rail Viaduct, based on 2D FEM and Xdisp analysis-Canada Water Plot A1 ( Stage 2/3) - Produce GMA and impact assessment reports on an adjacent LOL tunnel ( Victorian brink tunnel), based on 2D FEM ( PLAXIS 2D) and later ( Stage 3) a complex 3D FEM (PLAXIS 3D)-King Cross Plot 2 - Numerical calibration of a single pile behaviour in 2D Axisymmetric model ( PLAXIS 2D), based on a site-specific pile test.
