      Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Sales associates have an emphasis on department and product knowledge, providing information on product features, and knowing related items to sell an entire project. Associates in this position know how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. Sales associates maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure that it is clean, shoppable, and safe. The paper is printed monthly and distributed through high traffic "exit racks" at all key Retail Stores and strategically by our Current Advertisers in the area. Job responsibilities include: - Signing up for upcoming events to work- Providing own transportation to and from events- Finding key individuals at events and getting the story from them, taking notes from them and from other guest attending the event.- Observing the event and finding good photo opportunities to showcase the event in the paper. - Using an online system to upload images of event and ranking them based on their ability to show the true spirit of the event.- Writing about the event and editing to be sure there are no typos or grammatical errors in order to publish in print and online editions.- Meeting strict deadlines for multiple events.
