Act as lead governance for the compilation of specific engineering training within the Aviation arena. Working directly with engineering authorities to ensure all engineering activities are covered by the syllabus, identifying residual training gaps and the necessity for individuals to take responsibility for On-the-Job training themselves. All training production was done under the guise of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) methodologies and MOD JSP 822, and as such, required buy-in from multiple departments and organisations; such as training authorities, engineering stakeholders and industry leaders prior to full acceptance, sign-off and delivery. In conjunction with coordinating training, it was also necessary for me to remain accountable for the upkeep, maintenance and airworthiness of training assets. This involved conducting rectification maintenance, aircraft upgrades and regular preventative maintenance in line with Military Aviation Policy. All associated ground support equipment, with a value in excess of £3m, also required managing, resourcing and accounting for under their own maintenance cycles, so as to de-conflict with aircraft maintenance rotations. Show less Delivering training in line with current training packages and MOD guidelines, ensuring all students meet relevant Key Learning Points as part of their performance indicators before being assessed and subsequently qualified to perform maintenance activities on aircraft. Managing all training and student needs in-fitting of budgetary controls, providing assurances of serviceability of training assets and the procurement of necessary resources to ensure minimal engineering downtime. Providing mentoring and developmental coaching, along with performance related feedback to enhance future skill sets of aviation engineers. Show less A capable, adaptable and agile engineering supervisor that conforms to the needs of the organisation and remains flexible in all situations. Delivering training and working extended hours to accommodate the teaching of full rectification of aircraft and their components parts, while adhering to operating procedures, H&S legislation and risk assessments to conduct maintenance activities. Fully conversant in a varied array of avionics rectification and preventative maintenance principles across a broad spectrum of aviation assets, including ECM and SkyShadow; and with demonstrable proven capability to supervise and manage all arising issues in a high tempo role. Supervising and teaching the correct use of tools, equipment and manpower with a value in excess of £1M and ensuring correct protocols and publications were followed in their continued use. A practical implementer of maintenance regimes within a Military and Civil Aviation Authority governed organisation. Show less Carry out all aspects of fault diagnosis and fault rectification, coupled with in-depth preventative maintenance and scheduled servicings of complex systems, sub systems, aircraft and specialist tools. Maintaining operational effectiveness and airworthiness of an aircraft fleet or high value assets within a 1st line aircraft environment.Working alongside various multi-faceted military tradesmen responsible for the maintenance and overall serviceability of all systems.
