My success in this position was a 92% employee retention rate, payroll control, occupational injury and general liability claims were 76% below budget for 2009. I was a peer to several HR Managers in my district and was the District Peer for the Employee Opinion Survey Team.

  This was a very rewarding position because I could see the impact I made on a daily basis with the children in the program. I was responsible for creating and implementing the After-School Program for children Pre-K through 4th Grade. As the ED, I was responsible for all aspects of operating a Non-Profit Organization, to include marketing, accounting, personnel, grant writing, fundraising and creating agenda's for monthly board meetings.

This was a challenging position because Corporate was in Florida and we were essentially a start-up business for the Texas Market.

  The Portland Chamber of Commerce is a Member Organization and as the President/CEO I am responsible for the daily Operations of the Organization. My main goal is to grow the Chamber Membership and I have done this by increasing awareness of the Portland Business Community and to encourage Economic Development in the Portland Area. With the support of my Board of Directors I have been able to add some great programs to our Membership's Value; Professional Development Trainings, Leading Ladies in Leadership, a Women's Mentor Program, the SupPortland Business Expo & Health Fair, our Annual Golf Tournament, the Patrice Worsham Scholarship Style Show, the Windshield Tour and New Corporate Level Memberships. Our Membership has increased by 50+ Members and continues to grow. Show less
