      May 2015 - May 2016
      Engineering Intern

Performing failure analysis, competitor analysis, and quality monitors on integrated circuits using characterization tools (FIB, TEM, and EDX). Evaluating untested photo-resists and masks using Canon Deep-UV scanner to determine their viability for future designs. Working cross functionally between Manufacturing and Process Development to expediently rectify fabrication issues. Restoring to operation a Spreading Resistance Profiler and fabricating a fixture for automatic sample preparation. Working with third party lab to verify accuracy of results. Show less

    • Formula SAE

      Aug 2015 - May 2016
      Aerodynamics team - Materials Specialist

Worked within an interdisciplinary team to develop a Formula style race car and competed in a collegiate design competition organized by SAE International. - Identified and secured partnership with Hexcel Corporation to gain a sponsorship and building materials -- Performed materials selection for the composite bodywork and aerodynamics components via Ashby Method- Developing the fabrication process for all composite components via wet-layup and vacuum-bagging techniques.

    • Senior Capstone Project with Orbital ATK

      Oct 2015 - May 2016
      Student Researcher

Partnered with Orbital ATK to validate a novel testing method for composite materials with the objective of shortened lead times and lower costs. - Utilized Design of Experiment to validate laminate properties predicted via the "Trace Invariant Method". - - Machined samples and performed mechanical testing in accordance with ASTM and CHM-17 requirements- Utilized SEM to perform fractography

    • Aerojet Rocketdyne

      Jun 2016 - Jan 2022
      Senior Materials and Process Engineer

Specialized in the design and production of turbopump assemblies and components in support of two liquid rocket engine programs. - Lead technical team that justified the reduction of excessive destructive testing requirements, affecting over 60 forgings. Team awarded AR Mission Success Award for estimated savings that will equal over $1M over the program's lifetime. - Spearheaded high-visibility failure investigation of recurring penetrant indication issues on turbopump impellers and identified corrosion as the root cause. Recommended multiple solutions to the product team and government customer that resulted in future parts passing successfully. - Executed concurrent engineering with a supplier’s engineering team in Germany to design and produce hybrid bearings for turbopumps. Duties included integration of supplier and internal requirements, specification and drawing revisions, and an on-site supplier audit. Show less
