This included writing scripts to extract data that was too large for excel spreadsheets as well as ensuring that the audit data was tested using appropriate analytical procedures. Second Year in this Role:- Supportive role in all my audit teams where focus was on ensuring all tasks allocated by the audit senior were performed by the audit team.- Assisted with development, implemented and worked with SQL script during a JSE listed audit client. The script required understanding of SQL language and was used to simplify audit testing during this audit client as well as pinpoint areas of concern. - Made use of data predictive models that worked with significant account balances and was able to pinpoint months in the model that needed to be investigated further for audit purposes. This assisted with ensuring that testing focused on anomalies that required investigation. - Coached first year audit trainees on the latest audit methodologies and technical skills as well as guided them on their soft skills. - Facilitated internal training of data analytics tools in Excel to a group of 60+ candidates to assist them with improving efficiency and analytics skills to use in audits.
