      Alachua Conservation Trust is a nonprofit regional land trust created to address the need for protecting critical natural lands from development and degradation in Florida. As a student intern, I coordinated ecological projects at locations in Alachua County such as Ardisia and Prickly Pear removal at Prairie Creek, Tropical Soda Apple removal at Tuscawilla Prairie in Micanopy, and herbaceous release of Long Leaf Pine trees and invasive species removal at Saarinen Preserve in Jonesville.       Rebuilding Together is a national nonprofit organization with the mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, rebuilding lives. Rebuilding Together North Central Florida (RTNCF) is a local affiliate dedicated to ensure safe housing and communities in Alachua and Levy County. This program is rooted in the community, working closely with supporters, stakeholders, and leaders to provide critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for our neighbors in need. As the Community Engagement Specialist, I serve as the primary facilitator and overseer of engagement regarding volunteer operations, events, and digital presence. My responsibilities are to sustain and develop signature Rebuilding events to enhance the brand recognition, reputation, and financial sustainability of the RTNCF organization and its programs. In addition, I assist with program development, recruitment, and supervision of the Repair Team, including interns, volunteers, and paid staff. I also maintain and build relationships with new and prospective donors, attend networking events, and assist with coordinating donation efforts of all types. As this organization grows into neighboring counties, I work directly with Rural Program Managers to develop programs and launch community engagement efforts in their area, and serve as a direct liaison between their branch and headquarters.Certification received: Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). A designation program that teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential for successful home modifications for aging-in-place programs. Show less
