      Organized patient records and followed up on disparities in health records with military bases the patients served at. I also coordinated with families that are participating in the medical treatment provided by Operation Mend who provide free medical care to wounded warriors who qualify.

      We interact with pediatric patients at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital in the Teen Lounge and the Children's Playroom in addition to assisting with the computer system in the multimedia room. We also go to patients in their rooms to see if there is anything they need and interact with them if they cannot go to the Teen Lounge or Play Room. Overall, we help to maintain a child's normal life through the duration of their hospital stay.

      We explore whether complementing extinction with other appropriate training such as reevaluation may help to prevent the return of fear. I oversee online screening, administering questionnaires, administering fear acquisition computerized training, administering extinction and reevaluation mindful calm computerized training, and finally administrating computerized tests to determine whether fear has been erased.

      Intern at the Sareen Lab which utilizes pluripotent stem cells in order to form models that are used to compare diseased organs to healthy organs to understand the mechanisms behind gastric diseases and neurodegenerative diseases like ALS. I have assisted with differentiation of patient-derived iPSCs to mature pancreatic cells for mice transplantation and eventual mice transplantation. I have also characterized foregut organoid by cryostat sectioning and antibody staining to determine their functionality as true organoids. Show less
